Regan Bayliss will once again be in the saddle on Redkirk Warrior in Saturday’s Group One Black Caviar Lightning Stakes but it hasn’t all been smooth sailing riding for the Lindsay Park team.
The young jockey is back riding for the stable after an in-house suspension saw him overlooked for a month.
Trainer David Hayes said Bayliss was given a month off for not riding to the stables rules.
“Regan is still riding for me but I gave him a break for a month as I wasn’t happy with the way he was riding for us,” Hayes told News.com.au.
“He wasn’t riding to stable rules so we gave him a bit of a break. He’s back riding for us though now.”
20-year-old Bayliss has ridden Redkirk Warrior to wins in the Group One Newmarket Handicap as well as the Group Two Bobbie Lewis.
The Flemington straight course specialist is currently $11 in betting for the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes.
