Racing in Victoria this weekend will go ahead as planned however there will be no crowds allowed on course.
The Victorian Government on Friday ordered the state into a strict Stage 4 lockdown until Wednesday night but racing will be allowed to go ahead as scheduled but without crowds on track.
Despite the restrictions not coming into placed until midnight tonight Moonee Valley Racing Club will opt to bring in the no crowd policy for tonights Torney Night Cup meeting.
Flemington will host the feature meeting of the weekend with the G1 Black Caviar Lightning Stakes the main event with boom colt Bivouac and star sprinter Nature Strip the main attractions.
Racing Victoria is set to announce further updates later this afternoon after discussions with the state government.
