Racing NSW has moved to shore up public confidence in the industry by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Australian Crime Commission.
The MoU will allow the two organisations to share information and address any potential criminal issues in the racing industry.
Peter V’landys, Racing NSW CEO, said the agreement was a critical step in maintaining public confidence in the sport.
“Integrity for us is front and centre and this is another weapon in our armoury in ensuring the highest level of scrutiny in our sport,” V’landys said.
ACC chief executive Chris Dawson said the agreement would provide a platform for them to offer advice and help the NSW racing industry protect itself from serious and organised crime.
