Last year’s Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist and UK galloper Snow Sky head the weights for the Caulfield Cup.
Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Snow Sky won the Hardwicke Stakes at the Royal Ascot meeting in June.
Protectionist, now trained by Kris Lees, and Snow Sky have been given 58kg, 0.5kg more than Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Criterion.
Fame Game, aiming to give Japan back-to-back victories after Admire Ratki’s success last year, has been given 57kg, the same weight as Godolphin galloper Contributer.
The $3.15 million race will be run on October 17.
