
Promising stayer Higher Ground unfortunately passed away after complications during a stomach operation.
The former Chris Waller trained stayer had won four of his nine career starts including the Group 3 Frank Packer Plate.
A well bred colt by So You Think, Higher Ground was becominga valuable horse for connections in which trainer Chris Waller had a big opinion of with target races in the Spring pinpointed for him after his Winter campaign.
Higher Ground last raced in the Rough Habit Plate at Doomben where he finished fourth hitting the line well form the back of the field.
Guys, I asked Debbie Kepitis and she said he had stomach issues that required an operation and he didn’t make it.
