He's Our Rokkii is going to the C F Orr and then the Futurity Stakes

He’s Our Rokkii is already a Group One winner at Caulfield and will be given the chance to add another two early in his upcoming campaign.

The four-year-old won the Group One Toorak Handicap (1600m) during his spring preparation and his co-trainers David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig are eyeing the weight-for-age 1400m races at Caulfield next month for the gelding’s early campaign targets.

“He’s Our Rokkii is going to the CF Orr and then the Futurity Stakes,” Dabernig said.

“He’s a good Caulfield horse. He’s in great order and doing well.”

He’s Our Rokkii won twice over 1400m at Caulfield in open handicaps at the start of his spring campaign and made it three-straight Caulfield wins in the Toorak in October.

His was spelled after finishing unplaced in the Group One Cantala Stakes (1600m) at Flemington.

“He’s a good, tough gelding and I think he’s still got a bit ahead of him for sure,” Dabernig said.

He’s Our Rokkii has won up to 2000m and is likely to go to Sydney after the Melbourne carnival.

Stablemate Seaburge will be given another chance to win a Group One Guineas after going agonisingly close when second in the Caulfield Guineas during spring.

“He’s going to kick off in the CS Hayes,” Dabernig said.

“He’s come back and looks great.”

The Group One Australian Guineas (1600m) in March is a target with the colt also likely to progress to Sydney.

Seaburge won the Group Two VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes at Flemington as a juvenile while his spring campaign included an unplaced finish in the Group One Cantala Stakes on October 29 at Flemington.

He backed up a week later to finish equal second in the $2 million Group One Emirates Stakes (2000m), won by Awesome Rock.

The Group Three CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) at Flemington on February 18 is named for the late Colin Hayes, the father of David Hayes and grandfather of Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig.
