North Pacific has been installed as the horse to beat in Saturday's Up And Coming Stakes
The feature race at Randwick this Saturday is the Up and Coming Stakes for the three-year-olds and the Team Hawkes trained North Pacific has been installed as the short priced favourite.
North Pacific will go into the race with a fitness edge having had a start last month where he was an impressive winner of a 2YO handicap race at Rosehill and bookies are keeping him safe in what looks another very winnable race for the son of Brazen Beau.
The Hawkes trained colt had one start in the Autumn where he ran third in the Silver Slipper Stakes behind Golden Slipper winner Farnan before being sent for a spell with that form well and truly stacking up.
Unbeaten Smart Image is the clear second elect having won both of his career starts this preparation with the remainder of the field looking a pretty even bunch and the market reflects that.
