Million dollar earner and G1 winner Hawkspur has been officially retired from racing.
Hawkspur’s feature G1 win came in the Queensland Derby but the Chris Waller staying star had also been a two time G2 and G3 winner throughout his career in which he amassed over $1.3million dollars in earnings.
The decision was made after the horse was unable to place at his six starts this preparation all of which were in lower classes to when he was racing at his best.
