Michelle Payne is unlikely to have a Melbourne Cup ride this year but she hopes to make the headlines during this years Melbourne Cup Carnival as she targets two feature races with Queen Of Zealand.
Michelle Payne will saddle up and ride Queen Of Zealand in Saturday’s Wakeful Stakes with the intention to back the NZ filly up in Thursday weeks G1 VRC Crown Oaks.
As with anything Payne does she will no doubt have a lot media interest surrounding her as she looks to train and ride the horse to two feature wins during the Carnival.
Queen Of Zealand is currently a $41 chance in Wakeful Stakes markets and $67 for the Oaks.
Having conquered the Melbourne Cup @mj_payne is now eying off the Oaks at Flemington with Queen of Zealand who will contest Wakeful on Sat.
