A Victorian trainer will front the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board over the alleged attempted race day treatment of two horses.
Pakenham trainer Matthew Leek will front the RAD Board on December 21 on three charges following a visit from Racing Victoria’s Compliance Assurance Team before the Pakenham meeting on August 8 when he had High Valley and Cash Sail engaged.
Leek has been charged with attempting to inject both horses with amino acids on the day of the race.
He also faces a misconduct charge for destroying evidence and a further charge of failing to record the treatment and medication administered to both horses.
