Boom colt Winning Rupert who won his first five starts before being beaten in the Magic Millions Guineas as the long odds on favourite last time out is likely to be headed to stud after a lucrative deal has been received by his owners.
In his short racing career Winning Rupert won five of his six starts including the G2 Champagne Classic and G3 Vo Rogue Plate.
Winning Rupert received surgery on his knees following his failure in the Magic Millions Guineas to remove bone chips.
Trainer Bjorn Baker has said “negotiations to sell Winning Rupert to a stud are going well at this stage” although no decision is yet to be made.
