With many Australians waking up to the news yesterday morning that Arrogate had retained the title of the best racehorse in the world, we take a look at the other Australian raced and bred horses to make the list. For many, the rating system is a tough one to understand with the United State’s Arrogate beaten more then once in recent times retaining the number one position, compared to Winx who continues her unbeaten run as well as 3-year-old Enable from the United Kingdom, who has now won 5 group 1’s on the trot.

So which Australian raced and/or bred racehorses have made the list? Some obvious big names are included, as well as surprise packages and those who have raced overseas for the majority of their career. Starting with number 237, we look at each runner and their current ratings.

*All runners that ran in 2017, retired horses included.
