Trainer Kris Lees will now have three runners in Australia’s richest race on October 13th with multiple Group One winner Le Romain gaining a slot in the race.
Slot holder Greg Ingham wasted no time in securing a new runner for his spot in the 2018 Everest Field after he announced he would not be running Invincible Star in the race this afternoon.
Invincible Star was disappointing in Saturday’s Premiere Stakes where he finished last, prompting GPI Racing headed by Ingham to source a new horse for their spot in the race.
Prior to the announcement Le Romain was a $26 chance in the market with the TAB with Glyn Schofield booked for the ride.
