Jockey Nathan Berry has been taken to hospital in Singapore after becoming ill at trackwork, putting his return to Sydney for the Coolmore Classic meeting in doubt.
The 23-year-old Australian rider was at the canteen taking a break between two rides at Kranji on Tuesday when he collapsed.
Eyewitnesses told the Singapore Turf Club he looked pale, but was conscious while he received medical attention before being transported to hospital for tests.
Berry, who began a four-month contract in Singapore on March 1, rode a winning double on Sunday.
He is booked to ride Golden Slipper contender Unencumbered in the Todman Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday and White Sage in the Group One Coolmore Classic after riding in Singapore on Friday night.
