Jockey Ryan Wiggins is confident he will be cleared to ride on Friday after being injured in a fall on Tuesday.
Wiggins was on a two-year-old making its way onto the track at the Sunshine Coast trials when it unexpectedly reared.
“I was tossed off the back pretty high up and landed on my head on the cement,” Wiggins said.
He was taken to hospital where he had about five hours of tests.
“The scans came back fine and I haven’t had a headache. It was lucky I was wearing a helmet.”
Wiggins said he would seek a clearance from his doctor and hoped to be able to ride at Ipswich on Friday.
Wiggins has been in great form and has ridden 10 winners this month.
