Tiarnna Robertson, who has trained the flying machine FABERGINO to group success has been rushed to hospital after being kicked flush this morning.
Fabergino (Maschino-Miss Razyana), her stable star was responsible.
Robertson suffered the full force of the grey mare, who was 2nd to Graff at Caulfield in the Gr 2 Caulfield Sprint, recently, and who this morning just lined her up.
So perfect was the strike, Robertson has had to undergo three operations today already.
Her tibia was smashed.
She has had to have a steel rod inserted into her leg to stabilize the shattered bone.
The mare will stay in Melbourne with a Group sprint race over her preferred 1000m on the horizon, but Robertson’s had to scramble to get people in place for her 20-horse team back in Perth.
She trains out of Bennett Springs, a suburb of Perth, and has a few in her care who can run such as recent winners: ANGRY ANNIE (Vital Equine-Bellantina); FALSE STATEMENT (Star Witness-Motifs); TRUMP THIS (Domesday-Leveller) and her emerging sprinter MR DELEGATOR (Maschino-Magnat Cat) who has won his past two and was impressive winning a barrier trial this week.
Prayers are with Tiarnna for a speedy recovery.
