Bryan Guy is returning to his Gold Coast stables, three months after leaving his long-time base to train for the Chinese-based Aquis syndicate.
Guy, who has owned boxes at the Gold Coast for 25 years, moved to Aquis Farm – the former Patinack Farm facility – at Canungra in the Gold Coast hinterland last October.
However, with Aquis deciding to take a new direction and turn Aquis Farm into a pre-training, spelling and breeding operation, Guy will reclaim his old boxes.
Guy said Aquis, which were big spenders at the recent Magic Millions sale, would continue to race horses and he would still train for them, along with his regular clients.
“I will continue to train for them but I will go back to my stables at the Gold Coast,” Guy said.
“The club is happy to have me back and I am happy to be there because I have won Brisbane trainers’ premierships from them.”
Guy said the new Aquis Farm operation would be state of the art and involve a link with a yet to be announced Scone-based stud.
