The Godolphin machine looks set to have a Gold-star day this upcoming Saturday in both NSW and Victoria when its exciting juveniles Tassort and Athiri run in the Group Two Silver Slipper and Group One Blue Diamond Stakes respectively.
Already the Blue Army’s baby machine was set to happy dance mode when their exciting city-winning Sidestep baby Kiamichi sat 4-wide all way and won her barrier trial on Monday morning in grand style.
Which leads us to this afternoon.
Godolphin can and probably will win yet another juvenile race: this time with their unraced colt Promotions (Exceed And Excel-Transfers).
He runs at Wyong today at about 1:20pm this afternoon in the first race.
And while he hasn’t shown as much as the lofty ones have, he is very nicely bred, seems to be heavily talented too, and is a city barrier trial winner.
Now that trial was stacked.
Behind him that day were: Spring Loaded (1 start for a stakes placing), Galaxy (easy winner at Canberra recently), Frosty Rocks (a subsequent city trial winner) and rounding out the field, the unbeaten super exciting Castelvecchio (winner of $1.2million in stakes thus far).
Promotions was on pace all the way and simply out-kicked them all.
So he looks very well placed here on debut.
But this interesting young horse poses a lot of questions for breeding buffs as well.
With many speculating which stallion the great Winx (who is by Street Cry) should go to, this colt Promotions is by one of those leading candidates in Exceed And Excel.
And his mum, Transfers, is by Street Cry.
So that blood-mix will be viewed closely here also.
