Glen Boss has picked up the plum ride on unbeaten filly Petits Filous in the A J Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley.
The ride in Friday night’s feature sprint was up for grabs after Kerrin McEvoy decided not to appeal a careless riding suspension from Saturday’s Caulfield meeting.
The Ciaron Maher-trained Petits Filous will carry 51kg when she steps up to Group One company for the first time in the Moir and goes to the race with four wins from four starts.
She is one of three three-year-olds expected to run with Craig Williams to ride Fontiton and Hong Kong champion Joao Moreira to partner Furnaces.
McEvoy’s suspension also rules him out of the Epsom Handicap meeting at Randwick on Saturday and the Turnbull Stakes at Flemington the following day.
