French-trained galloper Tiberian is on target for a Melbourne Cup tilt after chalking up the biggest win of his career in the Group 2 Grand Prix de Deauville overnight.
The Alain Couetil-trained Tiberian has now won four of his past 5 starts with his only failure coming in the Group 1 Grand Prix de Saint Cloud (2400m).
Tiberian is booked to fly to Melbourne on September 13 and will contest the Melbourne Cup on November 7 without a lead-up run in Australia.
Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock bought a half-share in the 2017 Melbourne Cup hopeful before his current campaign.
