Hall Of Fame trainer Lee Freedman has spoken out about about the disqualification of Australia’s biggest trainer Darren Weir suggesting it was racing’s ‘worst kept secret’.
Freedman spoke on Macquarie Sports Radio this morning where he said everyone thought something was going on in Weir’s stable and that credit must be given to the integrity department in Victoria for uncovering it.
“I think it was probably the worst kept secret in racing, everyone thought that something was going on there.” Freedman said.
“Full credit to the integrity department in Victoria.
“They’re obviously acting without fear or favour and, you know, Weir’s gone now.”
