Champion racehorse Black Caviar has arrived safely in Sydney after an overnight road trip from Melbourne.
The float carrying trainer Peter Moody’s horses including AJC Australian Derby contender Anacheeva arrived at Randwick around 4am on Friday.
“She came off the truck in good shape, had a good drink and a leak and a mouthful of tucker,” Moody told Sky Sports Radio.
“Her temperature was good so we threw a saddle on her and she went out for a trot and had a good look around.”
The unbeaten mare is aiming for her 12th career victory in the Group One TJ Smith Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.
She is currently ranked the world’s best and the Randwick race will be her first outside Victoria.
She is the $1.20 favourite to win the TJ Smith and her presence has overshadowed the Derby in which New Zealand star Jimmy Choux dominates betting.
