Two Australian Turf Club employees with the Mounted Security Division will face charges relating to the welfare of horses in the unit.
Racing NSW stewards began an inquiry in March into complaints about the operation of the Mounted Security Division.
They took evidence in camera over two days and on Tuesday issued charges againt Michelle Steele, the ATC Mounted Security co-ordinator and Dennis Mitchell, general manager security, risk and investigations.
They have both been charged with conduct prejudicial to the image of racing and failing to provide veterinary care, treatment and stabling conditions for horses in the Mounted Security Division.
A date for the hearing has not yet been set.
Stewards say when the inquiry is held, they will provide further information and include any recommendations regarding the operation of the Mounted Security Division.
