Racing Victoria have decided to extend the 30min race intervals for a further six months however Saturday meetings will not be included and will be run as normal.
Racing Victoria will also conduct a coordinated trial of 30 minute gaps with New South Wales for their weekday metropolitan meetings.
RV Chairman, David Moodie, said, “We welcome the opportunity to conduct a coordinated trial of 30 minute gaps with New South Wales for their weekday metropolitan meetings and look forward to expanding this to include other states. This is an important initiative for the industry nationally.”
RNSW Chairman, John Messara, said, “This is a pleasing outcome for the racing industry, arrived at in collaboration with Racing Victoria.”
