Western Australia stewards handed down a 10 week suspension to jockey Robert Markou after he was found guilty of a handling charge for a bad ride at Geraldton earlier in the month.
Robert Markou was found guilty of a handling charge which will see him out of the saddle until February 3rd for his ride on Miss Harley Quinn on the 7th, November.
Stewards found that Markou failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure his mount was given every opportunity in the race.
An investigation into the betting on the race found nothing of concern with neither horse Miss Harley Quinn or the eventual winner Stellar Ignition having any abnormal bets placed on them.
