Trainer Graham Begg has taken to social media to publicise one of the abusive emails and social media messages trainers and jockeys receive on a regular basis.
Group One winning trainer Graham Begg has tweeted one of the ‘many’ abusive messages he and his team receive from disgruntled punters, often after one of his favoured horses do not perform up to market expectations.
The abusive messages which is almost always sent anonymously have now become a common occurrence for most trainers and jockeys in the industry, with many participants so used to the abuse that it has become part of being a participant in the industry.
Eliminating the abuse is almost impossible with social media becoming a vital marketing tool for trainers and jockeys but the increasing amount of abusive messages outlines the need for the industry to invest resources in trying to eliminate it and protect it’s participants.
Have Your Say 🗣 – How can the industry reduce the abuse participants receive?
