Over 30,000 spring ready racegoers are expected to hit the track at Caulfield as the 2016 BMW Caulfield Cup gets underway on Saturday.

With temperatures set to reach the mid twenties, 10 races on the card, some of Australia’s coolest and most stylish expected trackside and a bevy of hot contenders for the day’s feature Group One race, tomorrow is set to be a hot one on and off the track.

The Cup itself is being billed as ‘Jameka vs. the World’, with the locally-trained mare out to become the first ever Victoria Oaks winner to win the coveted race in the subsequent season. Expected to provide some of her stiffest opposition are a quartet of unseen interlopers Scottish, Sir Isaac Newton, Articus and Exospheric, as well as bonny former sandgroper, Real Love.

The Caulfield Lounge partnered with David Jones will be brimming with celebrity talent including Caulfield Cup Carnival ambassadors Elyse Knowles and Nadia Bartel, David Jones Ambassadors Jesinta Campbell, Jessica Gomes, Jason Dundas and Adam Goodes, style idols Nadia Fairfax, Rozalia Russian, Avril Rae and Jack Kennedy, Olympic gold medallist Mack Horton, AFL stars Jimmy Bartel, Joel Selwood and Jarryd Roughead and many others.

Nathaniel will perform the national anthem ahead of the BMW Caulfield Cup and DJ Timmy Trumpet will bring home the crowd from the Crown Lager Live Stage.

Competition will be rife off the track with the winners of the inaugural Westfield Style Stakes announced in the David Jones Fashion Stable at 3:20pm.

Seafood, sparkling and sliders will be in abundance with some of Melbourne’s best chefs popping up around the track including Scott Pickett heading up hisEstelle marquee, Ian Curley in Black Caviar, and Mr Miyagi, Mamasita and Red Door Yum Cha serving up their finest in the main thoroughfare.

The Priceline Beauty Pavilion will be keeping punters looking their best throughout the day while the Pimm’s Garden Party will provide a spot in the shade for those wanting to kick back.
