The 2040club is excited announce a brand new event to be held in Sydney to celebrate one of Australia’s most time honoured race days.

Based on the successful New Zealand bred Advantage 2040club Cox Plate Lunch, we are holding a lunch in Sydney by the water on Friday the 13th of April 2012.

With the running of the David Jones Australian Derby the following day, it’s the perfect excuse to get right into the swing of the BMW Sydney Carnival.

And with all the big players in Sydney for the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, which concludes on Thursday the 12th of April, the lunch provides a perfect opportunity for buyers and sellers alike to unwind and enjoy an entertaining day out.

The lunch will take place on the beautiful Darling Harbour at the reputed Doltone House venue and just like its Melbourne cousin will feature a cracking line up of special guests.

We are excited to have prominent Sydney racing broadcaster Greg Radley from Sky Racing as our confirmed MC for the lunch.

Also on board will be 2040club’s number one ticket holder, multiple group one winning jockey and now turned racing media personality “Miracle” Malcolm Johnston.

And it wouldn’t be a racing event in Sydney if the queen of Australian racing Gai Waterhouse didn’t join in to help celebrate Sydney’s biggest race day.

Refreshing young racing journalist and now TVN form guru Mick Sharkie will also be a part of the racing panel on the day.

More special guests will be announced as we get closer to the event.

Tables of 10 are now on sale for $2,200 and can be booked by emailing events@2040club.com.au. Or contact Mathew Becker on 0409 501 223. More information at www.2040club.com.au
