Jockey Danny Nikolic is not giving up on his riding career without a fight saying that stewards conduct vindictive vendettas against certain racing people evident with Peter Moody this week.
Danny Nikolic denied threatening Bailey at Seymour.
“On the day in question at Seymour, I do admit to swearing at him in sheer frustration due to what I believe was his constant bullying behaviour,” Nikolic told The Herald Sun.
“At no time ever have I threatened Bailey or his family.
“Through my lawyers I offered to take a lie detector on the issue if Bailey did as well, but he refused.”
“My mates and colleagues in the industry have served jail time and lengthy disqualifications only to be relicensed after doing their time without showing cause or the police commissioner becoming involved,” Nikolic said.
“Jockeys Chris Munce, Matt Dracos and Aaron Austin all served prison sentences before being relicensed.
“Others like Jimmy Cassidy, Bobby Elissa, Damien Oliver and Darren Beadman served lengthy disqualifications but were allowed their briefs back. I have never served any jail time.
“Why am I treated any differently by Racing Victoria and the police?”
Nikolic will look to reinstate his jockeys license in QLD after his ban is up.
