Punters believe they have found one at overs that will run a bold race at odds in the Lavazza Short Black (1400m) this Tuesday at Flemington.
Ozi Choice, a Darren Weir trained galloper, hasn’t raced since October 18 at Caulfield where he attempted to lead all the way under John Allen and gave a really good kick but was outgunned late by the then low flying Steel Frost. Craig Williams takes the ride and punters thought the $21 opening price was silly. He is now a $14 chance.
Favourite for the race is the Chris Waller trained New Universe, who was scratched from last Saturday at Rosehill to be saved for this. He has drifted slightly and is out toΒ $4.80 after opening up at $4.40. He holds the call over Land Of Plenty who opened at $6.00 and touched $5.50 before drifting out to $7.00.
Milwaukee has also had some fans, he opened up at $7.50 and has been trimmed in to $7.00 after touching $6.50 at one stage.
There are a couple of thrill seekers because they have specked the rank outsider Un De Sceaux, who is $91 in from $101.
