Ancient King is the short price Galleywood favourite
Darren Weir had a fab start to the Warrnambool Carnival on Tuesday and is favoured to win the feature on Wednesday at the Bool, the Galleywood Hurdle (3200m).
Ancient King, who has been going okay on the flat, returns to the jumping caper where he is a star and is the popular elect in the market, but is easy, out to $2.45 after opening $2.30 and touching $2.50.
He holds the call over the Hayes/Dabernig mare Dane Hussler at $3.20, who is rock solid. On the third line of betting is Two Hats at $4.40 followed by Honey Steel’s Gold at $6.
