Wily veteran trainer Les Bridge produced a 3YO filly on debut at Kensington and the whispers were she was good.
Her name is SKEDADDLE (I Am Invincible-Dal Dal) and that whisper turned into a roar when they jumped out of the trees to get on.
She ended up starting at $1.70 with Sportsbet after opening at $4.00 and the race looked over after 50m.
Her gate speed is phenomenal.
โYes, she is just a natural running filly,โ said trainer Bridge.
โSheโs got a swampy back, is just all legs and immature at the moment too.
“Iโd like to put her out now so that she can catch up to herself. But you saw today what she can do. Sheโs just a natural and I love natural fast horses.
LADY OF LUXURY (Criterion-Miss Beauty World) is no slouch and recently ran 2nd in the $250,000 big Magic millions Maiden. She chased her home, making some ground late and gapping the others, but Skedaddle beat her hands down.
Said Chris Williams the winning fillyโs rider, “She had every chance to get run down. But she is very tough.
โI heard the other filly coming and I was a little worried because she went so hard early.
“I was struggling to hold her early because she has a very high cruising speed.โ
He knows Bridge is going to put her side for a few months.
โI think we will all have a lot of fun with her. She is so good and Iโm hoping she will take me all the way.โ
And it was that sort of confidence others in the know relied upon when betting began.
She firmed and firmed and firmed all morning and a lot of money was won on her today.
