Lightly raced filly Sacred Eye is the popular pick in tomorrow’s VRC Oaks at Flemington with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
Sacred Eye has eased from $3.50 to $4.00, but is the best backed runner. The Ciaron Maher trained filly, Jameka, heads betting at $3.60.
Dawnie Perfect, to be ridden by retiring jockey Jim Cassidy, has received support, firming from $14 into $12. Ambience ($4.20) and Pasadena Girl ($9.00-$8.00) also have plenty of admirers.
“It’s been a see-sawing battle for favouritism. Jameka tops the market at the moment, but overall Sacred Eye is the best backed. Ambience is also strongly in the mix, so any one of three could start favourite,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes.
