In form trainer Tony Gollan is again favourite to win the feature race at Doomben on Saturday according to online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
Gollan’s last start winner, Traveston Girl, is at the head of betting, on $4.00, for the Brisbane Handicap.
Hopfgarten, who had no luck in his Melbourne campaign, is $4.40 second favourite.
Victorian rider Craig Williams is $2.80 to win Saturday’s first round of the Origin Jockey Series at Doomben.
Queenslander Glen Boss and Tye Angland are at $3.50 – Kiwi rider Danielle Johnson the $4.00 outsider.
Johnson, fellow Kiwi Opie Bosson and Damian Browne represent New Zealand and they are $3.40 to win the four Saturday series ahead of Queensland ($3.50).
“Traveston Girl was a strong winner of the Recognition Stakes last start and she looks well placed here. Gollan is fast becoming Brisbane’s answer to Chris Waller. He won both feature races last week and will be strongly represented again,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
