The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Embracer is set to start as rank outsider in Saturday’s TAB Everest after accepting the final spot in the richest race on turf.
Embracer completed the star-studded field after race stalwart Trekking was confirmed as Godolphin’s starter.
After finishing third and fourth over the past two years, Trekking was cut from $26 to $21 by TAB, while Embracer is currently at $51 in the market.
Last year’s winner Classique Legend ($4) remains favourite from Nature Strip, who has tightened from $5 in to $4.50 and Masked Crusader ($6). TAB’s representative Lost And Running is $17.

- Standout ($3.50) has opened as All In favourite for the Sydney Stakes but Big Parade is the market mover having shortened from $8 in to $4.50 to be equal second favourite with Signore Fox.
- Chris Waller’s duo of Hungry Heart and Shared Ambition are at $6 for the Craven Plate behind Hill Stakes winner Think It Over, who is at $2.30.
- 2019 winner, Handle The Truth ($4.50) remains the one to beat in The Kosciuszko prior to the barrier draw, with Edit ($5), Front Page ($7) and Art Cadeau ($8).
