Blaike McDougall is absolutely tearing up the NSW country tracks of late.
He just throws his leg over and they win. Well, maybe not quite that simple, but you understand what I’m saying.
Of his last 45 rides, for instance, he has ridden 18 winners and 9 placegetters.
Read that again – 18 winners from past 45 rides. That’s a whopping 40% winners-to-rides….probably the best in the country.
So when he decides to ride an unraced 3YO filly at Albury, you need to ask why?
Especially when that same filly was thrashed at her only racetrack appearance in a trial.
Especially when that filly is in a race today at Albury up against a pair of very heavily backed runners.
Especially when that filly is tiny.
Even more so when that filly draws the extreme outside gate.
It certainly raised my eye brows and at $9.00 (Palmerbet) this filly, whose name is THETIS (Sizzling-Bendaree Hera), is worth coupling up in bets with the two favoured ones, Redollix and Bethpage.
Team Joseph train this filly and they know how to get one to go.
Race 4 at Albury this afternoon, therefore, bears close watching.
