Unbeaten colt Sepoy dominates the market in Saturday’s Blue Diamond with online bookmaker sportsbet.
The Peter Snowden trained star is paying just $1.60 to win the $1,000,000 Group 1 1200m feature.
“Odds on favourites don’t have a great record in the Blue Diamond but that hasn’t stopped punters piling into Sepoy,†said sportsbet.com.au’s Haydn Lane.
“History is the only knock on him though as he has simply toyed with his rivals in both starts this time in.
“The fact they decided not to accept with Glissade says to me that Darley believe they’ve got the prize wrapped up with Sepoy.
“Of the challengers, Atomic has been by far the best supported on the back of his win in the Chairman’s Stakes.â€
Bets of $20,000, $15,000 and two of $10,000 have been taken on Sepoy at $1.65 earlier this week, while one long-range punter had $250 each way on Sepoy at $41 just days before his barnstorming win on Australia Day.
