Boomsara ($4-$3.80) was the only horse during that week that was seriously supported to beat the favourite, Outback Barbie.
Rated a treat by Tim Clark, the pair led throughout to hold out Bondi ($10) and Outback Barbie ($2.25) in a thrilling finish to the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400 metres).
Boomsara held approximately 15 percent of the market but most punters were in the corner of Outback Barbie which was responsible for 57 percent of the total market. It was also a very popular commodity through the multis.

MAGIC MILLIONS 2YO CLASSIC
The late money told the story in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200 metres).
All the late support was for the Godolphin runner Exhilarates, which firmed from $4.60 in the morning to start a dominant $4 favourite.
Such was the support for the James Cummings runner that it was responsible for 36 percent of the money in the market since Tuesday’s barrier draw.
Settling back near the rear of the field, Kerrin McEvoy timed his run perfectly with Exhilarates flashing home to beat Dubious ($5.50-$7.50) which cut the corner and looked the winner at one point.
Hightail ($8-$5.50) was a significant firmer throughout the day and wasn’t far off them in third spot.
All week the betting stoush between Exhilarates and Dubious was fascinating, with the pair swapping positions at the top of the market on multiple occasions before the filly cleared out today.
She held more money than the two next best supported runners combined – Dubious and Unite And Conquer ($6-$4.80). The latter attracted good money today but after being stranded wide and on the speed throughout, weakened out of it in the straight.

RACE ONE
Star Fall delivered a big blow to TAB when it scored an easy win in the January Handicap (1000 metres).
Punters were keen to back the son of Zoustar since the market opened on Wednesday, taking the $2.30 that was on offer at that point.
Star Fall was crunched into a shade of odds-on ($1.95) at one stage today but got out to be a dominant $2.10 favourite, holding 66 percent of the total investment.
Given a great run fourth in transit by jockey Linda Meech, the Ciaron Maher & Dave Eustace-trained runner charged away to win comfortably over Exceltic ($11-$8.50) and Acquittal ($7.50-$10).
Outside the heavy support for the favourite, there was also good money for Riviera ($11-$9) and Star Boy ($8.50-$7).

RACE TWO
Linda Meech made it a running double after she guided Smart As ($10-$15) to victory in the TAB Highway (1600 metres).
The race turned out to be an on-pace dominated affair after Smart As sat outside the leader Saarim ($11) before overpowering it over the concluding stages. The pair finished one-two with Mina Harker ($8) making ground for third just in front of the heavily supported favourite, Hemmerle ($2.40-$2-$2.30).
Hemmerle was one of the best backed runners on the card and went around with 70 percent of the market on the Danny Williams runner.

RACE THREE
Favourite backers were on good terms with themselves after Taniko was an easy winner of the The Aviary @ Royal Randwick Sprint (1200 metres).
The James Cummings-trained runner was easily the most popular runner in the race and was responsible for 35 percent of the market.
Jockey Christian Reith had the mare positioned in the second half of the field but extricated her out into the open midway down the running. Sprinting sharply, she raced away to beat Ghostly ($6.50) and Sikhing Glory ($7.50-$6-$6.50) with the latter tried at eachway odds throughout the afternoon.
Of the others, Lisdoonvarna had support once again while Pumpkin Pie was a drifter was $4.20-$5.50.

RACE FOUR
Extreme Bliss wasn’t all that fancied in the 2019 Membership Handicap (1500 metres).
Hovering around the $11 mark throughout betting, the David Brideoake runner had some specking at the quote but was largely ignored by customers who preferred to be on the likes of Toryjoy and Seahampton.
Ridden a treat by Andrew Mallyon, the pair were at the tail of the field turning for home but followed the fence all the way down the straight before coming around the heels of Toryjoy ($3.40 fav), which led, to upset the apple cart for favourite backers.
Bella Success ($8.50) grabbed the minor end of the prize.

RACE FIVE
Single Bullet did the right thing by favourite backers when it finished off hard to take out the Summer Sprint (1000 metres).
Carrying just 49kgs thanks to Robbie Dolan’s claim, the pair settled third in the run as Jungle Edge and Badajoz kept each other company up front.
Producing a big finishing burst down the Randwick straight, the 9.5kgs swing on Jungle Edge ($3.50-$4.80) was telling as Single Bullet ($2.60 fav) overhauled the old boy to score comfortably.
Frolic ($9) filled the minor end of the prize but the big disappointment was Marsupial ($3.10), which was actually more popular than the winner. It finished last in the field of five.

RACE SIX
Mazaz was the most notable firmer in the final stages of betting in the TAB.com.au handicap (2400 metres).
Opening at $11 on Wednesday and $9 this morning, the Chris Waller-trained runner was specked throughout the day to start a $7.50 chance.
Enjoying a break neck speed up front being set by Dusk Falls, the son of Galileo came from well back in the pack to overhaul the leaders and win comfortably.
Earth Angel ($8.50) ran on well for second while Equipped ($9) was tasked with bringing the field up to the breakaway pack and was a good run in third.
Devil’s Lair ($6) and Solo Mission ($5.50) were the two most popular runners while there was backing for several others in what was a very open affair.

RACE SEVEN
In a thrilling three-way finish, Onslaught ($7-$13) got his nose down right on the line to claim victory in the Australian Turf Club Handicap (1400 metres).
The Team Snowden runner split the leader Samadoubt ($6) and Organza with all three hitting the line locked together. Such was the tight nature of finish that it was declared a dead-heat for second.
The result gave Christian Reith a riding double but it wasn’t the result most punters expected.
Organza ($3.10-$4.20) drifted for most of the betting but still held the most money while Sweet Deal ($5-$3.80) was backed into favouritism off the back of a betting move that lasted 24 hours.
Of the others, After All That ($9) carried good eachway money as did Strathmore ($21-$16-$17).

RACE EIGHT
Turnberry was well supported throughout the week to win the #theraces Handicap (1500 metres).
A member of the Kris Lees stable, the four-year-old had been $4.60 on Wednesday and been backed into $3.80 this morning. He jumped a $4 chance.
Turnberry was given a good run in transit and finished too well for his rivals down the Randwick straight, beating the fast-finishing roughie Devlann ($81) and Brother In Arms ($13).
The winner carried almost as much money as the favourite Thy Kingdom Come ($2.15-$1.90-$2), which was just behind the placegetters after doing a stack of work in the run.

RACE NINE
Favourite backers were sent home winners after Live And Free was an impressive winner of the Autumn Carnival On Sale Handicap (1800 metres).
The John O’Shea-trained runner held 50 percent of the market going into the final event and jumped a clear $2.60 favourite. Settling midfield on the rails, Robbie Dolan got him out into the clear in plenty of time and the gelding sprinted sharply down the straight, sweeping to victory over Island Missile ($5.50) and Trafalgar ($61), which did well to hold third after leading.
Live And Free was four times as popular as the runner up and was heavily leveraged through multis too.

RACE ONE
Favourite backers were on the money in The Arbour Plate (1000 metres) when Microphone arrived just in time to beat second pick in the market, Pretty Brazen.
Both jockeys chose to go opposite sides of the straight but it was Dwayne Dunn which timed his run to perfection, bringing Microphone with a final charge to nail Pretty Brazen ($4.40-$4.80), which stuck to the inside.
Auxin, trained by James Cummings and a stablemate to the winner, was third pick in betting at $5.50 and rounded out the trifecta.
Microphone had been $2.60 on Wednesday and as low as $2.25 today. The Exceed And Excel colt held 54 percent of the total investment.

RACE TWO
Bold Arial handled the Flemington straight best when it was too good for her rivals in the Summer At Flemington Handicap (1200 metres).
The filly gave trainers Ciaron Maher & David Eustace a running interstate double, with the pair having taken out the opener at Randwick with Star Fall just 20 minutes earlier.
Bold Arial ($7.50-$6) had some eachway money riding on it and landed the cash as she overhauled Sweet Jazz ($4.80-$6) and Jay Jay D’ar ($4.40 favourite), with the latter going around as the most popular runner.
Bonito, unplaced, was best tried outside of Jay Jay D’ar and held more than twice as much money as anything else outside the favourite.

RACE THREE
Silentz landed some good bets when an impressive winner of the Nominate Now For The All-Star Mile (1600 metres).
The Darren Weir runner was easily the most popular horse in terms of money taken, holding more than three times as much money as the next best backed commodity in Guizot.
Ridden a treat by Dean Yendall, Silentz raced on the rails before being pushed into the clear at the 300 metre mark to set out after leader, So Si Bon ($5.50-$7.50).
Overhauling the frontrunner close to home, Silentz went on to defeat So Si Bon with Guizot ($3-$2.60-$3.30) back third. At one stage, approximately an hour before the jump, Guizot had been joint favourite with Silentz before it drifted out late.

RACE FOUR
One of the best backed runners all day at Flemington was O’Tauto in the Furlong Bar Handicap (1400 metres).
The gelding was responsible for over 70 percent of the total investment and was backed off a high of $2.90 on Wednesday into as low as $2.25, before it finally jumped at $2.50.
Support for Symphonette ($5.50-$4-$4.20) saw it become the best backed runner late in betting, with the Phillip Stokes runner giving a great sight before O’Tauto nailed it in the shadows of the post.
Blinder ($4-$7.50), which flashed home with O’Tauto, split the pair and took the quinella spot.

RACE FIVE
Second Bullet landed a few big bets after causing a minor upset in The Club Stand Handicap (2000 metres).
Damien Oliver timed his run to perfection after the pair raced near the tail of the field, arriving just in time to beat Tarquin ($34) which appeared to have pinched it after hitting the front inside the 200 metre mark.
Beauty Way ($4.20) ran third with the big disappointment being the heavily backed Masculino ($2).
Mick Price’s favourite touched a shade of odds-on but started in the black and after racing outside the leader, found little when it counted to miss out completely. It was more than three times as popular as Second Bullet.

RACE SIX
In one of the more open betting affairs of the day, Set To Sparkle saluted at double figure odds in the Bluegrass Bar Trophy (1400 metres).
Ridden out by Luke Currie, the pair held on to beat the well tried Naantali ($5-$3.70) and Amortentia ($7.50-$10).
Twitchy Frank, which began the day as favourite, was $4.40-$4.80 and started on the second line of betting while Flying Krupt ($4.80-$5.50) also drifted slightly despite attracting consistent money throughout the day.

RACE SEVEN
Chauffeur was an upset winner of the Paddock Bar Plate (1100 metres).
Now in the hands of Darren Weir, Chauffeur flashed home down the Flemington straight to salute at the price of $19.
Invincible Al ($4) and Prezado ($17) filled the minors.
Order Of Command went around a very popular $2.30 favourite. It was four times as popular as anything else and held well over half of the market.

RACE EIGHT
Manolo Blahniq ($4-$5.50) was the subject of several big wagers late in betting for the running of the Chester Manifold Stakes (1400 metres).
Coming four and five-wide at the top of the straight, the son of Jimmy Choux finished for Dwayne Dunn and trainer Tony Noonan to overpower the frontrunners close to the line.
Despite being a drifter for most of the day, he defeated Holbein an Takedown ($14).
Most of the attention here was on Mr Money Bags ($4.60-$3.50) which overtook Manolo Blahniq at the top of the market. Of the others, Call Me Handsome ($11-$10) and Holbein ($7-$5.50) were next best supported.

Fred Kersley rated the hot favourite I Am Someone a treat in the final event on the program.
I Am Someone was installed $2 favourite earlier in the week and got out to $2.50 today, however, despite the drift he was clearly the best supported runner in the event.
A son of Onemorenomore, I Am Someone held just under half the total investment in The roof Garden Handicap (1100 metres) and was on the speed throughout. Kersley rode the perfect race as I Am Someone bolted in to beat Got The Moves ($34), which flashed home, and Wazzenme ($34).
Vainstream, the $4.80 second pick, wasn’t far off in fourth spot and outside the favourite, held the most money in the race.
