TAB Sportsbet has received a flood of money for the imported galloper Speed Gifted to win Saturday’s Group I Metropolitan at Randwick.

TAB Sportsbet’s Glenn Munsie said the betting giant had been hit with a wave of support for the Lee Freedman-trained galloper since betting re-opened after Wednesday’s barrier draw.

“He’s $3.60 to $3.20 since we recommenced betting,” Munsie said. “He’s by far the best backed runner we’ve had today.”

With Speed Gifted a dominant favourite there are only two other runners in single figures with Ready To Lift at $5 and Mr Clangtastic at $9.

In the Epsom, the top three in betting all firmed up following favourable draws in Wednesday’s barrier draw.

The Chris Waller-trained Rangirangdoo is the favourite at $2.90 after being $3.20 on Tuesday while Drumbeats tightened up from $4.80 to $4.40 and Road To Rock is $6.50 to $6.

The Hawkes Racing-trained O’Lonhro is the only other runner in single figures at $8.

Munsie said punters had specked one at longer odds with Emperor Bonaparte firming from $61 into $41.

Flemington’s Group I on Saturday, the Turnbull Stakes sees an open market in early betting with Vigor the favourite at $4.50 ahead of Predatory Pricer at $5 with the Cox Plate winner Maldivian at $5.50.

Others in single figures are Red Ruler and El Segundo at $8 and the AJC Australian Derby winner Roman Emperor at $9.

Classy three-year-olds Onemorenomore and More Joyous both have strangleholds on the betting in their respective Group I races at Randwick.

Onemorenomore is the $2.30 favourite in the Spring Champion Stakes from his stablemate Gathering and Viking Legend at $6.50 with the Spring Stakes winner Lovemelikearock at $10.

In the Flight Stakes, More Joyous has been installed a $1.65 favourite ahead of Melito at $4.80 with Run For Naara at $8 and Sister Madly is $9.50.
