D-Day looms for Omei Sword this Saturday in the Golden Pendant (1400m) and punters are keen on her to bounce back into the winners list.
The mare has had no luck in both runs to date. First up she nose dived when the gates opened and was gone soon after, then last time out in the Sheraco she was dragged back to last on a leaders track, but still clocked fast splits. She opened the $4.80 and has been quite popular, now into $4.40.
Daysee Doom was an early firmer herself, into $4.80 from $5.50, but has eased to $5 with the support for Omei Sword. Bonny O’Reilly is always popular with punters and that remains the case. She did touch $4.60 from $5 and currently sits at $4.80.
