The Railway Stakes (1600m) has always been a great betting race given there are so many different form lines with quality gallopers, and the 2017 edition is no exception if the Sportsbet.com.au market is any guide.
It is the $6 the field, headed by the one and only Tom Melbourne. He has been supported, touching $5.50 at one stage but is now back out to his opening price of $6. He is the fav, just ahead of Black Heart Bart and Scales Of Justice at $6.50, both easing from $6.
Supply And Demand is pretty solid at $9 and they are the lone four runners at single figures. Next best is Variation, who has been well backed. He opened $14 after the barrier draw and is now at $11. After him is Ulmann at $12.
There has been each way interest for Gatting. He touched $21 from $26 and now is at $23. Note that Lee Newman will ride 1kg over on Gatting.
