Punters single out two horses in Magic Millions Classic

Punters have come for Dubious and Exhilarates to win the Magic Millions Classic

Dubious has been the most popular runner with TAB customers today in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic market.

The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained runner had already been a significant firmer in betting since yesterday’s draw, going from $7-$5.50 equal favourite, with punters showing strong support for it along with the James Cummings prepared Exhilarates.

Dubious has gone from $7-$5.50 to join Exhilarates at the top of betting with long-time favourite Unite And Conquer ($5-$6) now just behind the pair in the market.

The son of Not A Single Doubt, which had been an $8 favourite for the race some weeks back, has had two starts for as many wins with the latest of those at Eagle Farm on December 22.

“Our customers are clearly in the corner of Team Godolphin with Exhilarates since the draw, however, Dubious has been a notable firmer as well,” TAB’s Glenn Munsie said.

“Dubious and Exhilarates are the two most popular runners in the past 24 hours with the former attracting some good money today.

“Outside of them, every other runner has pretty much drifted.”

In the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas, Outback Barbie is a pronounced favourite at $2.60 and is clearly the most popular runner in terms of early money taken.

Boomsara ($4.80) is the only other runner in single figures with Star Fall and Bondi heading the rest at $10 respectively.
