Tassie raider The Inevitable has been best supported in early betting with Sportsbet.com.au to take out the first leg of the Quaddie at Moonee Valley this Saturday, race six, the Chandler Macleod Stakes (1200m).
The Scott Brunton trained four year old resumed with a brilliant win down the Flemington straight, nabbing Assertive Approach near the peg, a horse who won next start so the form has been ticked off. He opened $4.20 and has been well supported, now into $3.80.
That has meant that Deprive has eased slightly to $3.60 from $3.50 but still holds the favourite tag, just. Last start Moonee Valley winner Tavisan, who draws well once again, is at $5 and that trio dominate betting.
