Shaquero has been heavily backed in early betting on the Aquis Gold Nugget
Punters are rallying around a beaten last start favourite in the Aquis Gold Nugget (1100m) this Saturday at the Gold Coast.
Shaquero was too bad to be true first up and was found to be mildly lame by the stable following the race. From all reports he has recovered well and punters are happy to give him another chance. Opened $4.80 and has been well supported, now at $3.60.
He sits on the second line of betting behind Finance Tycoon for the Hayes/Dabernig team. The Maribyrnong Plate winner is the $2.60 favourite and has been rock solid.
