Punters are gravitating towards only one horse in early betting for the feature at Rosehill this Saturday, the Villiers Stakes (1600m).
The horse is four year old Quackerjack, who went enormous last time out in the Gong (1600m) at Kembla Grange when pipped near the peg by Mister Sea Wolf. Despite drawing wide, he’s the only horse wanted in early betting, touching $2.80 from $3.50 but has settled at $3.10.
You have to go all the way out to $8.00 to find the next best, which is Ranier ahead of El Dorado Dreaming at $8.50 and Gold Fields at $9, with the latter also accepted at Eagle Farm. The former, a last start winner at Sandown, has been specked.
