Punters plunge on boom horse at Randwick

Punters are confident that Zaaki will be the one to beat in Saturday’s Tramway Stakes, with the imported galloper immediately firming once TAB has released a market for the second time this week.

After being $3.50 into $2.90 in betting on Monday’s All-In market, Zaaki has been $2.90 into $2.30 today in the Final Field market.

De An Andretti has been another popular with punters this week, firming from $13 into $8.50 in the first hour of betting on the Furious Stakes Final Field market after being $26 into $13 in All-In betting earlier in the week.

TAB Everest contender and champion sprinter Nature Strip makes also make a return to Randwick this weekend, opening as $1.45 short favourite for the TAB Concorde Stakes ahead of Wilder Ruler ($5.50) and Trekking ($6.50).

Shared Ambition has also seen some strong support in the Chelmsford Stakes with the gelding shortening to $9.00 in from $16.

In Melbourne, the Feehan Stakes is the feature where Shot Of Irish ($18 into $9.50) the notable early mover, while there has been good support at longer odds for Melbourne Cup fancy Realm Of Flowers ($34 into $17) in the market headed by Superstorm ($5).
