The Trent Busuttin/Natalie Young stable have had great success in three year old staying contests, and Sportsbet.com.au punters believe that trend will continue via Sully in the Group l Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) at Randwick this Saturday.
The son of Reliable Man was okay in the Gloaming behind Ace High, with jockey Corey Brown stating post race that the horse was one paced and wanting further, which he gets this weekend and the punters are on with Brenton Avdulla taking over. He opened $9 and has been backed into $8.
Favourite for the race is Ace High. He’s $3.70 and relatively solid after opening at $3.50. He holds sway over Sanctioned ($4.40-$4.60-$4.50) and Tangled ($6-$5.50).
Another horse that will appreciate the rise to 2000m is Dissolution, who has had specking. He opened $11, touched $12 but a few each way bets has seen his price firm to $10.
