Invincible Gem has been heavily backed in Canterbury Stakes betting
Kris Lees has one of the best strike rates when it comes to Group l races, and punters think one of his chances can win the Canterbury Stakes (1300m)this Saturday at Randwick.
He has a couple of runners in the race, including Clearly Innocent ($4.60-$5), but it’s the mare Invincible Gem that has been best backed to take out the feature. Off the back of an impressive recent trial, she has been $6.50 in from $8 and could potentially start shorter.
Clearly Innocent is the $5 favourite, just ahead of Happy Clapper, with the Clapper easing from $4.80 to $5.50. He sits alongside iron mare Global Glamour at that quote.
There has been interest in the three year old filly Tulip ($13-$11).
