Punters want a good thing at Flemington on Saturday and they believe it will come in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2600m).
The punters have honed in on Pondus, who missed out on a Melbourne Cup berth but is looking to use a similar formula to Francis Of Assisi from 2016 when that horse came through the Bendigo Cup to win this race. He opened $3.40 and has been smashed, now into $1.95.
Le Don De Vie is rock solid at $4.20 on the second line of betting with a good gap to True Self, who also just missed out on a Cup start but did win this race last year. Sheis now out to $10 for the money for the top two.
All other runners are basically friendless with all of the money on the race for the top two in the market.
