Platinum Angel has been heavily supported at Ipswich on Saturday
Platinum Angel has been a model of consistency this time in for Darren Weir and punters are confident she can perhaps squeeze into the Tatts Tiara field next Saturday by winning the Gai Waterhouse Classic (1350m) this weekend at Ipswich.
The filly took on the big boys and girls a fortnight back at the Sunny Coast in the Moreton Cup and just missed out on the win when second to The Monstar. Looks well placed back to her own sex and punters agree, backing her into $3.20 from $3.50.
She clearly dominates betting, with the next best being the low flying Plucky Girl, who is at $4.40 and rock solid. On the third line of betting is Magic Alibi at $7.50, in from $8.
